Speaker Biography:
Pierre Koning is the program leader on public organization at Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis. Koning has his doctorate from the Free University of Amsterdam. His thesis was focused on job search models for the labor market. Over the years, Koning has combined his position with part time appointments as an assistant and associate professor at Utrecht University and Delft University of Technology. His research includes various empirical analyses on incentives and the organization of public services, like schools, hospitals and police forces. Koning's special interest lies in the field of welfare-to-work services, where most of his international publications are focused.
