A special June meeting will address rising costs of goods produced in China, a timely issue for firms buying products from China or competing with Chinese suppliers.  Jeff Anderson, Vice President of OPS America will cover the factors for rising Chinese prices and long term cost trends. Jeff will suggest corrective measures and long term strategies to minimize the affects.

Douglas Tucker, attorney for Quarles & Brady LLP will detail the elements of the national China labor law instituted January 1, 2008 and why Chinese manufacturers are struggling to comply with the new regulations.

Questions to be discussed:

    * Why are prices rising?
    * What is the new labor law all about?
    * Who is affected?
    * How will companies comply with the law?
    * Is this a short term condition or a long term structural change?
    * What can my company do to offset the increased costs?
    * What are the options?
    * How should my company position itself for the future?

Register online or send an email to Jill Carmichael at jcarmichael@johnsonbank.com before Friday, June 20.
